THE DEATH TRAIL OFFICIAL GUIDE

Here is the official guide for the fourth chapter of Scaryknit Originals’ Evil Wars, an original crossover event now streaming. Follow the official guide below to relive it again and spot all the easter eggs you haven’t noticed.

After defeating The Entity’s wielders, The Spectre and Evelyn have unlocked the sphere map, revealing the potential location where the Mind Flyers could reside. As The Spectre zooms into the hologram, the interior of a cave is visible. Evelyn recognizes it: Nighthomir. Evelyn reveals that Nighthomir is a secret dimension created by Lilith once the Nightshadows separated from The Entity. As The Flamestone doesn’t seem to respond to the quest, John takes the Blazewing to find a spell that could help them reach the location. He tries using the runes, and they get teleported to a dark and cold place. In front of them, a creepy trail made of wood emerges from the abyss. As Evelyn and John don’t know if it’s the right place, they walk towards it. They suddenly notice how the trail is not stable. Indeed, it crushes at every step John and Evelyn take. During this time, John and Evelyn take advantage of the situation to discuss what happened after they escape the Ashsouls, arguing. As Evelyn tries to display her reasons multiple times, the ground of the trail beneath her gives away, making her almost fall into the abyss. Evelyn is brilliant in clinging to a piece of the wood’s trail. John slowly gets close to her, grabbing her arm. With fatigue and luck, John takes Evelyn out of danger. They both now realize they must move slowly and keep their emotions quiet to reach the trail’s end. After a while, they reach a crossroads. Considering their altered mental state, they decide to split up. As John follows the left trail, the path resembles a jungle. John dives into it, but a terrible noise shatters the air. An enormous scorpion creature emerges from the ground. John tries to run and hide from the creature, but this last eliminates all the potential way out quicker. As John tries to take refuge, the creature stings him.

John starts to have convulsions as he raves about Evelyn before he collapses to the ground. As he wakes up, he is still raving, but next to her, there is a girl – Crossfire. With an act of extraordinary ability, she takes the Shadow Shards from John and succeeds in killing the creature. Crossfire helps John continue his journey. They must reach Crossfire’s partner, who has the antidote to cure John. Meanwhile, Evelyn reaches an old house in the middle of the trail. As she gets into it, she starts sifting the house. Out of nowhere, a man armed with clutches surprises her, knocking her down. At her wake, she is lying in a bed with a band on her left arm where the unknown creature has scratched her. A middle-aged man appears, revealing his name: Crossbone. He is considered a traitor to The Entity after he tried to attempt The Mind Flyers’ lives. Crossobone tells Evelyn the creature that attacked her was a Griever, a creature like a giant scorpion with clutches and stings. Its venom is considered lethal. The duo proceeds to the trail, rejoining the left part of the trail. As Evelyn worries about not seeing John in the distance, this last appears when hopes are in vain. Crossfire helps him. He struggles with his life. He has been stung by the Griever. Luckily, Crossobone has the antidote to cure him. As John recovers from it, Crossobone reveals they’re in the right direction for The Mind Flyers. They walked The Death Trail. Indeed, in front of them, Nighthomir emerges, signifying the trail's end. Unfortunately, hundreds of Ashsouls stand before them, ready to suck their souls.

With an act of heroism, Crossobone and Crossfire sacrifice their lives to grant Evelyn and John the possibility to reach The Mind Flyers. Crossbone runs towards the Ashsouls, attracting them and leaving the passage unguarded. As he reaches the top of a hill, Crossobone glows in yellow, destroying his body and the Ashsouls trying to kill him. In the meantime, John and Evelyn took advantage of the situation to infiltrate the cave. Following the lead, they connect with three mystical creatures sitting on three thrones: The Mind Flyers. As they reach them, they notice three red glowing eyes watching them from a distance. Evelyn is rushing to fight The Mind Flyers, who end up severely injured. As John struggles the same in fighting the Mind Flyers, he and Evelyn confront them together. Hand to hand. After an epic fight, John and Evelyn triumph over The Mind Flyers, killing them. The first two get chopped by the wielders’ weapons. Before Evelyn kills the last Mind Flyer – head decapitated – this last reveals some ancient inscriptions behind the thrones, assuming they were not in charge of The Entity. But they did so. Evelyn reads the inscriptions, revealing they must perform a ritual with runes to access a new secret dimension. It’s hazardous like it could end their life. This time, Evelyn shows strength to John, taking his hand. Together, they position themselves at the center of a circle inscription. As John recites the spell with runes, they both hug, flourishing in a lovely and intense kiss, before they dissolve in red dust.
